The University of Miami will celebrate National Public Health Week (April 6–12, 2026) with events across campus highlighting current public health priorities.
The weeklong series, supported by the PEDIMENTS Research Project, brings together students, faculty, staff, and community partners from the Miller School of Medicine and the School of Nursing and Health Studies to engage with key issues shaping public health.
National Public Health Week promotes public health’s role in fostering healthy and resilient communities. This year’s theme, “Ready. Set. Action,” covers communication, climate, health equity, and community engagement. Featured events include the Department of Public Health Sciences Roundtables launch and a Community Partner Meet and Greet.
Events will take place across the Miller School of Medicine, the School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the Coral Gables campus, offering opportunities for participation across disciplines.
Attendees can engage with faculty and community partners, explore research, and connect with public health leaders. The full schedule and registration are available on the events page.
