Ph.D. candidate Tyler Bartholomew and Dr. Hansel Tookes co-authored a study that analyzes the operational and service delivery changes to syringe service programs in the U.S. as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected from 65 syringe service programs in 44 states across the U.S., including 14 sites in New York City, in a one-week period in March 2020.
Bradley Lezak, MD/MPH candidate, is the lead author of the study, which examines the myriad of ways in which orthopaedic trauma departments across the globe have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
